Occupational Health & Safety Policy

We are committed to promoting a safe and healthy workplace for all team members, clients, vendors, and visitors. We are committed to preventing accidents and injuries as well as any losses related to its resources or physical assets.

In pursuit of our commitment, we will develop, implement, and enforce such policies and procedures that promote and provide a healthier, safer work environment. In fulfilling this commitment to protect both people and property, the Leadership team will provide and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, in accordance with industry standards and in compliance with legislative requirements. We will strive to eliminate any foreseeable hazards which may result in accidents, personal injury or illness and property damage.

We recognize that the responsibilities for health and safety must be shared to effectively maximize our efforts. Team member involvement is encouraged and in conjunction with good management will help to control the potential for accidents. Safety is the direct responsibility of all managers, supervisors, team members, and contractors. As required by provincial legislation, we will also comply with the requirements to have Health and Safety Representatives and a Joint Health & Safety Committee.

Managers are accountable to ensure our team, colleagues, and contractors comply with safety requirements relating to the operation and maintenance equipment, and work processes/procedures.

Team members will perform their jobs properly in accordance with established procedures and safe work practices established by Holman and applicable safety legislation.

Health and safety training and education will play a key role in informing Managers and team members of their health and safety rights and responsibilities. Employees are empowered to participate in our Health and Safety program. Should questions arise surrounding training, laws, regulations, or policies, please contact your Manager.

At a minimum, this policy and its encompassing program will undergo an annual review.
