TORONTO, ON – January 31, 2020 – Holman is very happy to announce that, as of September 1st, 2019, two of our Executive Vice Presidents have purchased the privately held company.
Originally founded by Peter Holman in 1964, as Holman Design – a progressive and dynamic creative startup specializing in museum & trade show exhibits – Holman is now entering its 56th year in business. Peter Holman founded his design firm with a focus on entertaining, educational, and engaging experiences – this spirit continues today as design and creativity are at the heart of everything we do. Through the decades, our offerings have evolved to accommodate larger museum exhibits, more complex trade show programs, and – in more recent years – retail display and fixture roll-outs.
Partners A.J. Sparkes and Robert Collins have acquired the company from Wendy Cudney, who was pivotal in Holman’s success for more than 30 years. A.J. has over 20 years of experience building retail environments, store fixturing, product displays, and brand signage and will be responsible for corporate Business Development and Sales across all business segments. Robert, with nearly 20 years of experience working with global brands on trade show and experiential marketing programs, will head up company-wide Operations.
A.J. and Robert will be supported by a highly dynamic and experienced management team consisting of Paddy Jordan-Higgins, Executive Vice President of Creative, Damian Ellis, the recently appointed Controller, Chris Marshall, Director of Museum & Cultural Exhibits, Bob Fulton, Production Manager, and newcomer to the Holman team Nazeema Shaheed-Singh, Director of Client Services.
